Here are a few links to the health care and economic plans we're constantly told don't exist.

Rep. Paul Ryan's "A Roadmap for America's Future"

Sen. DeMint "The Health Care Freedom Plan"

Senators Coburn, Burr and Representatives Ryan, Nunes - "The Patients' Choice Act of 2009"

GOP Solutions for Health Care

Those aren't considered "serious" proposals. Anything that doesn't involve nationalizing our health care industry and making the government the sole provider (and denier) of health care isn't "serious" as far as Obama is concerned.

I do not like the way the GOP is pushing healthcare. It's as if they want to fix what is broken but afterwards punish the providers for doing what was well within their rights and SHOULD be even after reform.

I guess I should realize that these people are so disconnected from reality that this is to be expected but it doesn't change the fact that this will only damage our movement and our country if we allow them to continue.

Their defense against this bill (as seen below) is that it is "Jobs killing", that is SO infantile immature and pathetic a response from supposedly intelligent men that people try to attribute to "my side" that it makes me ashamed to even discuss this issue outside of this forum.

As seen HERE

That HC bill is what they said PLUS an assault on our freedom our wallets and any and all sanity left to individuals in this country, Uuuugh, I cant wait till 2010...I just can't wait.

I think Glenn has proven that people *will* listen to principled arguments like : 'It's just flat wrong for the Federal Government to get any more involved in our Health Care... in fact we should find ways to be cutting their involvement'.

Glenn trusts that people can understand and respond to that message. Politicians don't.

And Politicians don't get $$ for *cutting* programs... only growing and adding.

I think the crux of what we are doing comes down to this... if 50% of Americans don't pay taxes any more, but do get $$ and services: Will we ever have enough voters that say 'Cut' and 'Constitution'.

I think we are early enough, and that (thank God) the highest voting rates are not among those that don't pay taxes... so they are (mostly) letting the tax paying Libs and the tax paying Conservatives duke it out (with the rare time they pop their heads up to vote, like for Pres Obama).

That's my analysis.... Hard truth could still win if anyone would say it. And we're proving we can vote people out, so that churn can hurt the influence of money. Glenn's right... start with Principles, Honor, Education... and the actions coming out of that will be what we need.

Thanks for the links Wendy. You are a wealth of info! Don't know what we'd do without you!

Good point on the politicians in the first line. We need patriots in office, not politicians.

The second point is: I was at the Buffalo 912 project/TeaNewYork meeting in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago. Afterward, I spoke to the person from primary Challenge who was there. He said that we are already at 52% of the population who are receiving some sort of govt assistance. Yes they may not be totally dependent on the handout, but we may be closer than you think to that 50% mark.

November cannot get here quick enough!

Good post! Yet, these are still only "approved" plans aligned with prevailing health industry model profiting from sickness. More sick people, more profit. There is no genuine incentive for wellness, that is why so many sincere people in health care are so frustrated and demoralized.

See

for a short intro to many plans that are not "approved" as good for the economy.
