On Wednesday, Jan. 13 we are meeting at 5:30 at the Greece Town Hall Community Room for the Board Agenda Review meeting. From there we are going to the Long Pond Family Restaurant to continue our own meeting.

As you remember, the Town Board meeting that we attended was very brief. We have learned that all the input, discussions and decisions of the Board are made at the Agenda Review meeting, which takes place on the Wednesday before the Town Board meeting. The Agenda Review meeting for the Jan. 19 Town Board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 5:30 at the Town Hall. The length of the meeting depends on how much clarification the Board members need on each of the issues which will be addressed at the Board meeting itself, but may run for about an hour, and is open to the public.

Attending this agenda review meeting is another important piece in learning about the political process and how we can participate more effectively. Since you have already planned on meeting on Wed. evening, we would like to double up a bit and cover them both. We can attend the agenda review meeting for as long as it seems useful and informative - half an hour or so, or through the whole meeting if it seems worthwhile. When we leave for our own meeting, instead of going down to Panera, the Long Pond Family Restaurant is just a little north of the Town Hall, in Cedarfield Commons and is open until 9:00 p.m. We can then discuss what we've learned and plan ahead, as well as share and discuss other information (and eat something).
