TAX DAY TEAPARTY BUS TO WASHINGTON

From Member Debbie Messina:
I have arranged a bus that will be leaving Rochester to get to Washington for the April 15th Tax Day Tea Party. Please contact me through the Member List if you would like to be on it! The cost should be around $90 per person . Please let me know asap.

We will leave from 2 stops:

Webster Holt Rd, at 11:00pm 04/14/10
Eastview Mall at 11:30pm 04/14/10

We will drive through the night and stop for breakfast, we will arrive at Union Station in D.C. around 7am and walk a short distance to the capital. We will be picked up at around 6pm, stop
along the way for dinner and arrive back in Rochester around 1am.

I have arranged this through Star travel.

Hi Barb, I believe departure times are as listed: 11:00 pm from Holt Rd. Wegmans. Eastview Mall 11:30. You must contact Debra Messina for payment info.

I need more information. Please update as to the time the bus is leaving, and how i can pay. I live down by conesus lake and usually can not make it to meetings. Barb

Yes, there will be activities throughout the day, including a Ron Paul event on the Capitol lawn at 11 am. Anyone interested in purchasing bus tickets can stop by Mickey Finn's Restaurant, 14 Railroad Street, Victor, any Monday night from 6:30-8:00, at the Victor 9-12 Patriot Night. So far, there are just 20 people committed to this bus trip, and 54 are required to fill the bus. Please spread the word to anyone you know who is "Taxed Enough Already" and would like to travel to DC to be heard.

I also saw that the "official" gathering is 7PM. Do we know for sure if anyone will even be there that early?

  “ I found some real positives, even though we weren't amongst a million people! We had a safe trip there and back, the bus was comfortable, the weather was beautiful, and we got to talk to so many other like-minded patriots. Also attended a rally put on by FreedomWorks with speakers and some entertainment, as well as 2 hours of individual opinions presented on the lawn in front of Capitol. I personally enjoyed having some time to get to know many of the people on the bus - plus we were in Washington, DC. ”

  “ I enjoyed the D.C. trip with my fellow Tea Party members. We had a beautiful day weatherwise and the rallys were well handled. However, the number of Tea Party members at D.C. were unfortunitely smaller than I expexcted and somewhat scattered throught the city and throught the day and evening. I really would like to have had greater numbers at our nations capitol. Now, 9/12 that was an impressive show of support. However, I'm not discourage and would make more trips to D.C. in the near future. Gary Fingler ”
