Jacques Ditte for Senate - this came by email.
ditteforsenate.com My name is Jacques Ditte. I am an active "Tea Party" member and supporter. I am announcing my grassroots candidacy for for the United States Senate on the Conservative party line for the seat currently held by Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. As an American, I now feel compelled to step up to the plate, actively fight back, and help reclaim our government at this most crucial time. For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a full-fledged socialist leadership. The historic election of Barack Hussein Obama, our first Socialist President, also gave us a far-left Democrat Congress with a veto-proof majority. We grew up accustomed to freedom, thanks to the guarantees specified by our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Our form of government is based on the fundamental principle that our government is empowered by the consent of the governed. I am a first generation American, born in New York of French parents. My mother and father lived through the horrors of World War II in occupied France. Their love and appreciation of the United States, as the last greatest bastion of freedom, was instilled in me since my earliest childhood. I candidly and proudly declare that I have never held elected office in my life and have never even been inside the Capitol building. The longest time I’ve ever spent in Washington was September 2009. My wife and I, along with a million or more other ‘Tea party’ protesters from all 50 states, gathered peacefully outside the Capitol on Sept 12. It was that day, that I realized the “DON’T TREAD ON ME” American-passion-for-Liberty attitude that founded this country, was very much alive in all of us, fueling our resolve to regain control of our rogue government. By being a true “Washington outsider,” I believe I have been properly inoculated against the “RINO” virus and other ailments, such as ‘consensus building’ and wishy-washy ‘moderatism’ from which so many Republicans in Congress seem to suffer. So when it comes time to cast my vote on legislation, I am confident that I am fully capable of uttering the words “YES” or “NO”. My votes will not be swayed by the temptation of the purse string, but will be cast according to my conscience. I am fundamentally guided by my knowledge and unwavering belief that we are all endowed by our Creator with the unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. My political values are firmly grounded in Conservatism; Individual Liberty, limited government and State Sovereignty, the core Constitutional principles of our Union, for which hundreds of thousands of patriots fought and died. Therefore, in service to my country, I am considering running for the United States Senate, to help reverse the damage caused by the most repugnant, arrogant and rogue Congress our nation has ever known. I look forward to your feedback. Respectfully, Jacques Ditte ditteforsenate.com Edited by Paul on Jan 24, 2010 9:22 AM |

Therefore in service to my country I am considering... Hi, Thanks for posting that. Slight correction. I am running on the Conservative line for U.S. Senate. For the next week and a half I would like to spread this news by word of mouthl, blogs, postings, tweets. Then i will follow with an official Press Release of my candidacy at which point the drive-by media can vilify me :) Semper Vigilante, Jacques ditteforsenate.com |

WSR received this from Warren Reidlich, who is running for Governer of New York:
Dear Rochester NY 9/12 Project: Friends have asked me to run for Governor of our state. At first I was flattered, and still am. But as I have researched the state government, I find myself getting angry. For some years I have focused my political ideas on a simple theme: Stop Wasting Money. It is the title of my blog, http://www.wredlich.c... Here's an example: Guess how much the head of the NY Public Library makes. I ask people this and, realizing it must be a big number, they shoot high - $150,000 is often the first guess. I shake my head. $250K? Higher, I tell them. Faces start to frown. $400K? $500K? Not there yet. In 2008, he made $688,000. That's down from 2005 when he made $800K. There are 80,000 public employees in New York State who make over $100,000 a year. An MTA "Senior Advisor" makes $260K. A SUNY professor/administrator makes $730K. A SUNY faculty surgeon was paid $947K, all with taxpayer money. Then there's the SUNY administrator making $280K while collecting a$261K pension, and working a side consulting job for $100K. All with our money. In the face of a fiscal crisis, Albany politicians think the answer is bleeding more revenue out of us through soda and cigarettes. In other words, they want to take more money from people who don't have enough as it is. It's time for the insiders to get a haircut. I have already proposed eliminating 13 state agencies, with corporate welfare at the top of the list. Soon I will unveil a concrete proposal to end the ridiculous system where insiders live a champagne and caviar life, funded by taxes on the rest of us. The theme of the 2010 Governor campaign will be three words: Stop Wasting Money. I hope you will join us. Thanks, Warren Redlich PS: The campaign website is: http://www.wredlich.c... |

Hello,
You may notice Chris Collins name has been removed as a Gov candidate. He announced this morning that he is more interested in concentrating on the Erie County Executive job. He was a good man and I am sad to see him drop out. Thanks, Paul |
