I was just thinking about something like this during the past week. Set up a small canopy at a busy intersection with one unoccupied corner and a place to park for two hours on Saturday mornings. An American Flag, a Gadsden Flag and two signs: Revolution is Brewing... If you think government is out of control, stop and have a cup of coffee with us... (offer free coffee).
I wonder what would happen... |

It would have to be right near a Dunkin' Donuts so we could run in and buy a cup for each person.
Serving beverages to the public would undoubtedly require a permit from the Department of Health as well as an inspection of the facility where the coffee is prepared. Proper utensil sterilization procedures would have to be followed. OSHA would need to weigh in on working conditions for those who prepare the coffee. There would be minimum and maximum beverage temperature to monitor and of course, the cream and sugar would have to be in individually wrapped packages. We'd provide at least two kinds of artificial sweetener as many people are sensitive to one or the other. An acceptable trash receptacle would be necessary as well as proof of a privately funded disposal site. Probably smoking would have to be restricted in the immediate vicinity of consumption to comply with state smoking bans. Transporting the hot liquid would require a certificate from the Department of Transportation with a hazardous temperature rider attached. Just kidding... I think. I like the idea! |
